Q & A

What inspires you?

There are so many things.  The ocean, art, the sound of my children’s laughter, people who are sincere and compassionate and strong women - (especially the long line of women in my own family who have braved and sacrificed things I could not imagine doing myself.). I am also inspired by the simple silence in the middle of the night, which allows my writing to flow freely.

What scares you?

Zombies and the theory of spontaneous combustion.  (Thanks to my Dad, for letting me watch  Night of the Living Dead Movies and all of those Unsolved Mystery episodes when I was little.)

What do you suck at?

Two things: Ironing and folding socks.  (Finding socks that belong together is a big problem; I am convinced my washing machine eats them.)  I hate ironing so much, that I keep adding to a pile until it reaches gigantic proportions.  I spend hours defeating it, and when I do, the finished product is not very good.

What is your favorite quote?

“All that we are is a result of what we have thought.” -BuddhaI have always believed we are responsible for manifesting our own destiny.  I believe in the law of attraction.  Energy attracts like energy and thoughts become things, so I try to make my thoughts a positive force in the world.

What do you know for sure?

I have important work to do; It is only the beginning of my greatest adventure.
