Meet Gaylon Alcaraz

Gaylon is a published writer, activist, organizer and champion of human rights.  As the current Executive Director with the Chicago Abortion Fund, she works within the reproductive justice/rights/health movement to advocate for low-income women seeking abortion services.  She has served as a founding board member of Affinity Community Services, currently serves on the board of directors for Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health and is a past board member of the Midwest Access Project. She was awarded her BA and MA from DePaul University and will begin her doctoral program at Roosevelt University in 2013.  Gaylon received awards from Northwest Suburban NOW, Choice USA, Chicago Foundation for Women and Chicago NOW for her work.
